3D Images

3D Images:

Evaluation on 3D Images
This has been fun to do finding out how the 3D effect is accomplished on the images.
The photographer that I have been using as example for this is a Danish photographer Lars Brandt Stilsen who is located in Berlin, Germany.
His pictures show how effective the 3D works his photos are in black and white with colour added to it then formed into the 3D effect.
My own attempt shows my effect to be recently successful and my final images of a building in Corfu shows I have succeeded in replicating the effect.

these images are done in 3D style but I don't think it quite work properly specially the black and white version, except for the one above, with advice from Vinnie he suggest that I stand back from the screen approximately  5 feet with the 3D specs, this has considerably improved the effect of 3D.
I will have to investigate further using more pictures and see if I can improve matters.
To help me to achieve better results, I will be using the following equipment: Tripod, Manfrotto sliding plate and my trusty Sony A350 camera.

Image Management part 2

Photo 1

Photo 1 shows the original picture without any editing done to it, as you can see in the top almost centre there is a object in the sky (seagull, no its not dust on sensor, as I was using a bridge camera at that time).
I am using this photograph as an example of image manipulation in its basics form.

Photo 2

Photo 2 shows that I am using the Adobe Workshop Elements 9 and have selected the spot healing brush to eradicate the pesky seagull from the picture

Photo 3

Photo 3 shows the completed action, got shot of the bird

Photo 4

Photo 4 shows the completed photograph without the bothersome bird. this method is very easy to carry out,
The high standard of the editing software makes this simple straight forward action.

Image Management part 2

Introduction
As I understand from this assignment I have to produce a final image with either small amount of manipulation or go really wild and change the appearance of the subject.
Some examples of image changes are
  1. Changing a bland looking sky on a landscape photo to a bright blue sky with white puffy type clouds
  2. removing clutter from the images to tidy up the picture
  3. portraiture,  removing blemishes and unsightly marks so the person especially Women who generally a little vain about their appearance.
  4. Or it could be as little as removing speck of dust from the picture resulting from dust on camera sensor
The four photographers I am going to look in to are:

  1. Michael Freeman Landscape & Nature "The definitive guide for  serious digital photographers.
  2. Digital Landscape by (can't remember his name but I do have the book at home).
  3. How to photograph everything by Tom Ang, reason for this book, it is about digital photography, where I could get some ideas
  4. Lillian Schwartz. So I will be looking into her profile.
(And once I have done all this am going on holiday).
     Michael freeman's
this image even though it's done in colour it can go through the photoshop to convert to black and white image and also the figures in the photo seems to be out of proportion to the rest of the landscape, either that he has used a lenses that alter the perspective view.
