fantasy landscape

Research - Fantasy Landscape

Our last task is to create a fantasy landscape. It should consist of more than one picture which is cut and pasted together.  People like John Goto and Seung Woo Back are known for doing this. See images below.

None of the above images represent actual places. They are fake landscape - here the camera lies. Technically they have been made very well through cut, pasting and merging images together.

Digital experimenting - Liquify

To liquify your image you need to select Filter and then Liquify. Following this you need to select an appropriate brush size and alter / move / liquify your chosen area. This tool i often used in fashion photography to slim or enhance a model.

Image manipulations

To layer images on top of one another you simply copy and past one image onto another and then change the opacity in the layers box.

Adding a border

To add a boarder you need to select the image, choose Edit, Stroke, 20 and pick your colour.

Presenting the images

To present final images you need to make a new file, copy and paste the images onto the new file, change the size of the images and arrange them appropriately.

Renaming a file or a folder

To rename a file or a fold you have to select the number (at the bottom of the image) twice and simply call it whatever you wish.
